Since 2018 we have participated in Erasmus+ youth exchanges focusing on active youth participation in their community and internationally.
In 2018, Húnaklúbburinn invited a youth group from Sweden to jouin us in Húnaþing vestra to learn about each other’s culture and connection with nature. It was marked as a “Good Practice Example.” In 2019, Húnaklúbburinn participated in the Connecting Through Nature and Culture which also was marked as a “Good Practice Example.” For this project we learned about how to design, build, and maintain a community project. |

Midnight's Light 2024-2025

The project is called Midnight’s Light because we are discussing topics that are important to youth that might be dark or light in thoughts and feelings. Through theater, art, and self-expression the youth learn how to better communicate about who they are and who they want to become. The project is a social project focusing on mental well-being in youth and how to express ourselves in a resilient way through communication, self-expression and through connection with nature and to community.
