TENGSLAKORT: UNGMENNA Í SAMFÉLAGINU
Aftur til rótanna (Back to the Roots) var ungmennaverkefni styrkt af Erasmus+, Húnaþingi vestra og Pyhtää, Finnlandi. Í sameiningu rannsökuðum við hvernig æskulýðsstarf er hagur samfélagsins, hvað æskulýðsstarf er og hvað æskulýðsstarfsmaður/samfélagsstarfsmaður gerir í samfélögum.
Á íbúafundi sem við héldum þann 29. september 2021 í Húnaþingi vestra hittum við íbúa til að fræðast um kortlagningu samfélagslegra verðmæta. Þetta er viðburður þar sem samfélagið kemur saman til að kortleggja auðlindir, færni og verðmæti samfélagsins. Hér höfum við útbúið verðmætakort æsku okkar í Húnaþingi vestra. Við teljum að ungmenni séu mikilvægir þátttakendur í velferð og lífsþrótti samfélags okkar.

Asset mapping: Youth as assets of a community
Back to the Roots was a youth project supported by Erasmus+, Húnaþing vestra, and Pyhtää, Finland. Together we researched how youth are an asset to the community, what youth work is, and what does a Youth Worker/Community Worker do in communities.
During a community meeting that we held on September 2021 in Húnaþing vestra, Iceland we meet with the community to learn about community asset mapping. This is where the community comes together to map the gifts, skills, and assets of the community. Here we have created an asset map of our youth in Húnaþing vestra. We believe that youth are essential contributors to the well-being and vitality of our community.
